But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.

Isaiah chapter 40:31
You know, what this verse means? It means God will give you strength in every situation, if you wait on Him, hope in Him...
but notice how it describes soaring on wings like eagles, as if there was no weights on your backs, as though you were on a high, carefree and without a worry, when gravity cannot pull you down..that's what it is like sometimes to hope in God.

God still gives you strength to fly over all things...

And notice how sometimes, it's no longer flying, soaring, but it becomes more down to earth... running. It's like a race, a marathon ahead, yet you can still run a not be tired. However, you still feel the weight of gravity pulling you to the earth. It isn't as carefree and easy as before.

But God still gives you strength to run forward...

And now notice how it's no longer running... Tiredness starts to set in, and for every step you take, you put in every ounce of energy... trying to trudge your way forward, but every step forward seem to require you to harness every bit of energy left in you. Step by step by step...

It seems hard not to faint...

but God still gives you strength to walk forward...

That's what this verse is saying. Not every part of life is like "Soaring on wings of eagles"... In the past I used to remind myself of this verse when I faced problems, but the harsh reality of circumstance seem to set in. When problems set in...

Why? I thought I would have had incredible strength, a sudden gush of energy to run ahead... but I still feel tired, still feel down, still feel frustrated, still feel as though my feet were tied down by the heaviest weights.

And what this verse really says, is to but still have your hopes in God, because God will give you strength sometimes not to fly over your problems, sometimes not even to run through it, but to walk through it with Him.

Always hope in God no matter what the situation.

"But my work seem so useless! I have spent my strength for nothing and to no purpose.Yet I will leave it in the Lord's hand. I will trust God for my reward."
Isaiah chapter 49 verse 4

You don't know what you're doing, or think you wasted your time? Think again... ... put it in God's hands and God's economy... ... and you'll have your reward...

"I will be Your God throughout your lifetime - Until your hair is white with age. I made you and I will care for You. I will carry you along and save you."
Isaiah chapter 46 Verse 4

I look ahead, way ahead... sometimes unsure if growing up, God will become less in my life. I mean one day if I grow old, really old... where would God be then.
Then this verse's so comforting...
isn't God just so amazing??

"For I am ready to set things right, not in the distant future, but right now!"
Isaiah chapter 46 Verse 13

Maybe one of the things that we think while facing a problem is that, God will solve it eventually, later... but God's more than willing to set things right now, the moment You call him, and right now is not in the near future.
It's not about a matter of time, It's about a matter of God right here, right now.
